Food Irradiation

Yeah, I called this one months ago when I heard about Bill C-51 and the impact it would have on the distribution of nutrients. Hold onto your seats ladies and gents because food irradiation is on its way, in a big way. What is Irradiation? This is the process of exposing food to ionizing radiation. This helps to destroy potentially harmful bacteria like listeria - the bacteria that recently killed many people and caused the Maple Leaf stocks to plunge. Or the Salmonella in the vegetables that were supposedly imported from Mexico.

On the surface, you'd think this would be great idea! Well, don't believe it. Personally, I think these incidents were not accidents. There is a global agenda underway starting with Agenda 21 and it ties in to Codex Alimentarius (which has declared nutrients poisons). With Irradiation and the lack of easy ability to purchase vitamins (as of Dec. 2009), you can be sure that there will be health repercussions on a global scale.

Why? Because as irradiating food does destroy bacteria, it has also been shown to destroy the nutrient value in foods. Not only that, studies have shown that lab mice and undernourished children show an increase in the number of abnormal cells and pre-natal deaths in the mice. Canada has been irradiating food for a while now...but the levels of radiation have been increased and studies to date prove inconclusive. Those who are for irradiation have studies that show no ill effects. Those against show ill effects. What's a girl/ guy to do?Please, read up on this subject. Care enough to form an opinion and make sure it's heard.
